Sorry for taking so long ed001 on my review on fargo, been busy. Anyway its decent show, its got a bit of a true detective vibe to it (differeng murder case each season). Also feels like a bit of a breaking bad knock off. Starts of well with a great pilot however once you go further you kind of know how it will end. Overall not worth your time.

{Ed001's Note - ah ok cheers, I will give it a miss, though I have yet to see either True Detective or any more than the pilot for Breaking Bad.}

Im surprised ed i thought breaking bad would be right up your alley. Sure it starts of slow but it does get better. a lot better.

{Ed001's Note - maybe one day I will go back, but the first episode just dragged on for ages and I did not enjoy it at all.}

Breaking Bad is excellent, should be near the top of your list Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - the pilot wasn't good though, is it like that all the time?}

No ed it get significantly better. If you love an anti-hero then your going to love walter white.

{Ed001's Note - ok mate, if I ever have any spare time, to watch something other than footie which is my choice rather than the missus choosing, I will try it again.}

It most definitely gets better, I really disliked the pilot as well, but after watching the entire first season, I was hooked and needed to watch more.

The Wire and The Sopranos also had a similar effect, I just had to go back for more each time.

{Ed001's Note - I did not enjoy the Sopranos at all.}

Don't worry Ed, they're not the same kind of show. It's just for me they had that "keep coming back for more" feeling.

How much of The Sopranos did you watch in the end Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - an episode here and there, but never enjoyed it, those kind of gangster things bore me to be honest.}

There is so much more to it than just the gangster side. It covers all kinds of situations that apply to every day people too. It has another side to it also, with Jennifer Melfi(Lorraine Bracco, still looks great too!) as Tony Soprano's(James Gandolfini) psychiatrist.

There is a lot of gangster related stuff, I won't deny that. Such as the Vito Spatafore(Joseph R. Gannascoli) story and the absolute cluster-f**k that is Tony Blundetto's(Steve Buscemi)story.

The stories in the series which are more "normal" are the stories that surround Tony's immediate family, and much later in the show this also includes his Uncle and Soprano family boss Corrado "Junior" Soprano(Dominic Chianese).

I really think you should give it another shot, at least watch the first season in full.

{Ed001's Note - if I ever get the time mate I will try it one more time.}

Breaking bad is slow and boring, sopranos was excellent but had nothing on sons of anarchy

{Ed013's Note - SOA was outstanding}

I liked Sons of Anarchy, well what I'd seen of it anyway. I think it's definitely one that I need to watch all of. Broadwalk Empire is another.

{Ed002's Note - I only ever watch television programmes with Bamboo Harvester in them.}
