Iron Fist (2017)

Let me start by saying so far have been a if fan of netflixes marvel shows. Jessica jones was solid, Luke cage orginal, and daredevil brilliant (particularly the last season with punisher!) but have tried watching the first episode of this 3 times and haven't finished it once.

Is just bad, dunno how to put it. The main character is unlike able, the plot is slow and worst of all seems more focused on business strategy stuff then martial arts. Sounds silly but with the concept they are working with was hoping it would be more of an action driven show. may try pick it up later but for now can't be bothered really

{Ed001's Note - wow, really that bad?}

TBH yeah. have watched four episodes and can't remember 1 decent fight scene. compared to daredevil which had a fantastic scene where he takes out a gang inside a building in first episode. Which was epic!

Sorry but for the premise of it expected it to outshine the other shows in regards to fight scenes.also is boring and the main character is just so annoying and unlike able you just want to round house him when you see him.shame as thoroughly enjoyed all the other shows

{Ed001's Note - that is gutting, I have been really looking forward to seeing it.}

The Whispers

New show which is basically about every kid in a local area all start having the same imaginary friend called Drill. Who convinces them all to play in dangerous games which is investigated by an FBI specialist.

Read a similar synopsis was really excited as was hoping for a creepy/horror type show but isn't. Half way through and is a sci-fi show and a disappointing one at that. Acting/dialogue is sup standard and tbh just watching it now because I'm obsessive and want to know what the imaginary character is.

Shame as if done well was an interesting concept but just not done well.

Just finished watching season 1 of westworld, which I loved.

But love sci-fi shows with an original idea and a twist (e.g. Lost or wayward pines etc). Was wondering if anyone knew any similar type shows to watch? Heard man in the high castle is really good.

Also realise westworld is a remake of an old film but not seen anything like it myself

I did watch the pilot for Man in the High Castle and it was enough to make me want to watch more. I have yet to find the time, but I will be watching it when I do get a chance. I am also looking forward to seeing Westworld, that looks really good too.

Realise it took my ages to reply apologies! Hope you finished watching west world, starts slow but amazing ending to a series

{Ed001's Note - I have yet to even start it! I don't get much time to actually sit and watch TV during transfer windows, so it will be a while now before I start it.}

Takes a few episodes to get going but worth the wait, second half of the season is up there with the best shows I've ever seen!

have seen it and tbf isn't that scary! One scene probably made me job the most I ever have, but in fairness real good story and characters. Really enjoyed watching it and binged it in a weekend!

I really enjoyed powers but I think a big bit depends on how you feel about effects as yeah they just aren't good, if you can ignore that is a good show! TBH not just effects it just isn't a good looking show. As for recommendations Peaky Blinders is a quality one!

Two ends of the spectrum:

West world (takes a while to get going but is great)

Rick and Morty (fairly well known show but only recently started watching it, funny as!)

{Ed001's Note - West World does look good, I have been meaning to watch it. Thanks I will give that a try. I have seen Rick and Morty a few times it's ok but not something you can have on in the background while editing.}
